Darjeeling is a town in India’s West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. It’s famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes. Its backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjunga, among the world’s highest peaks.

Early morning (around 4am) leave for Tiger Hill (8,441 ft.) to witness spectacular sunrise.

Day 5
Gangtok-Tsomgo Lake – Baba Mandir –Gangtok

Visit Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir (depend on permit/weather).

• Tsomgo Lake or Changu Lake located at an elevation of 3,753 m (12,313 ft.) is one of the

Holy Lake of the region.

• The lake surface reflects different colours with change of seasons and is held in great

reverence by the local Sikkimese people.

• Till April, it is full of snow and lay frozen.

• Yak Ride at Tsomgo Lake.

• Visit Harbajan Singh Temple, located at an altitude of 13,123 ft. popularly known as Baba

Mandir is 52kms from Gangtok.

• Although Baba Harbajan Singh is no more, it is believed that he still guards Indo-China

border and protects in difficult times.

• Return to Gangtok hotel
